How to Mix Your Own E-liquid
Pro Tip: Always use a mixing calculator to get your ratios right before you start. Measure by weight using a digital scale for the most accurate and repeatable results — volumetric measuring can be less precise due to the different densities of PG and VG.
Plan Your Recipe
Decide on your PG/VG ratio, nicotine strength (if using), and flavour concentrate percentage. Use an online DIY e-liquid calculator to work out the exact quantities of each ingredient needed for your target batch size.
Measure Your Base
Using a digital scale or graduated syringe, carefully measure out the required amounts of PG and VG into your mixing bottle. PG is thinner and easier to pour, while VG is thicker and may benefit from gentle warming to improve pourability.
Add Nicotine (If Using)
If your recipe includes nicotine, add your nicotine shot or nicotine base to the bottle at this stage. Always handle nicotine with care — use gloves and avoid skin contact. Add it before your flavour concentrates for the most accurate mix.
Add Flavour Concentrates
Add your flavour concentrates to the bottle according to your recipe. Most concentrates are used at between 10–20% of the total mix — always follow the recommended usage rates for each individual concentrate to avoid over- or under-flavouring.
Shake & Steep
Cap the bottle tightly and shake vigorously for at least 1–2 minutes to thoroughly combine all ingredients. For the best flavour, allow the finished mix to steep in a cool, dark place for a few days to a few weeks — this allows the flavours to fully develop and mature.
